Hall of Fame


The EMERALD COAST VOLLEYBALL HALL OF FAME celebrates our 20th Anniversary by recognizing people and teams that have made our events successful.

		RESORTQUEST ResortQuest is the founding sponsor of the Emerald Coast Volleyball tournaments and has supported the events for 20 years. Accepting the award from Tim Edwards, Vice President of Fudpuckers, Inc. is Senior Vice President of ResortQuest and long time friend of Emerald Coast Volleyball, Lino Maldonado.

		CRAIG KASCH "MUFFIN" Craig has worked longer and harder at the events than anyone. Starting in 1990, Muffin has been responsible for setting the beach up and has only missed one event in 19 years.

		*KAREN DAVIS* Karen joined the tournament team in 1993 and has provided Physical Therapy support with her company, ONE ON ONE PHYSICAL THERAPY, for thousands of players over the past years. Karen has missed only one tournament since 1993 due to a previous commitment at Wimbledon with the Women's Tennis Association.

		*WOOFY* Woofy joined the team in 1993 and has provided his announcing skills to our events since, as well as providing a calming influence on Mike and putting together hundreds of last minute teams.

		*ERIC HARRIS* Eric joined the tournament staff in 1996 during the initial Emerald Coast Volleyball Week and led the team at The Crabtrap of Destin as the Gulf of Mexico tried to take all of our courts away. His calm and friendly demeanor has saved Mike's life many times from angry players.

		ROMAN & JANICE REESE Roman and Janice have played in almost every tournament since 1989 and have led the Nashville contingency down every year as well as providing valuable advise on the conduct of our events. Janice accepts the award from Tim. Roman was lost in the crowd.

		TIM & TINA BOURGEOIS Tim & Tina lead the Mango's crowd from Baton Rouge to every tournament and have helped us over the years in providing a great crowd with a definite PARTY attitude.

		KEITH & MAUREEN HANEY Keith and Mo were married on Center Court immediately following the Captain's Meeting ten years ago by none other than tournament director Mike Minich. Keith and Moe celebrated their 10th anniversary with us this year.

		*FLYY GUYS* The team that has won more Open titles than anyone else. Led by Keith Kubicek and Thomas Pratt the FLYY GUYS have been the first team to enter our events for many years.

		*FLETCH* Best known as the team that has refereed the Men's Open finals more than any other, FLETCH brought the concept of uniforms/costumes to the Emerald Coast events. Their Lakers uniforms could be seen at anytime day or night at any nightclub or bar in the area during the events. They also won the Men's Open title this year.

		*WANNABES* The WANNABES reflect the spirit of our events more than any other team. Have a good time and bring a good time to others. Known more for their creative costumes than their volleyball prowess, the WANNABES have brought a smile to all of us for years.
